When stock photo searches go bad: BLAAARGH.

Search keywords: Ethnic, laptop, professional

Actually this isn't a total loss. We're hoping to put together a direct mailer targeting Douchebag Pirate Bloggers, ages 18 to 54 sometime late in Q4.

Earlier stock photo shenanigans: Haiku-ized.

"Outtakes" from the Ben Stein/Shaquille O'Neal Comcast opus. Slow in sections, forced in others, but cute overall. Ben Stein's rendition of Snoop Dogg's "Gin & Juice" is refreshingly ballsy.

Friday Ad Haiku: Empty Office

M.M. McDermott

So, it looks like all the bosses are away on business or off to their holiday destinations. And they've left a fridge fulla beer in the studio. Hallelujah.

You think it'd be sweet
Having free run of the place.
And you'd be correct.

Now go grill something. Drink too much. And buy a car at ridiculously cheap Memorial Day prices.

The bowlings are not translationable.

M.M. McDermott

There's a certain poetry in poorly translated advertising. And this is why I'm always antsy when a campaign is sent for translation rather than transcreation. If you don't know the difference, you may want to move to a 1950s sitcom and open an ice cream parlor.

Still, I've never wanted to bowl more than I do at this very moment.

"I like pumping iron, and pumping furniture into peoples' homes."

The potent cocktail of racial harmony and affordable furniture just seems to make everything okay.
